Privacy Policy — Life Book

This Privacy Policy describes how the Life Book: Holy Bible app (“Life Book”, “we”) handles user information (“you”). By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data we collect

Data you provide

Account: email and password when you sign up; or name/email provided via Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple (you can choose to hide your email with Apple).
Profile: display name and profile photo (optional).
User content: notes, highlighted verses, reading preferences and gamification data (XP, achievements, in-app coins).

Data collected automatically

Usage and device: basic technical information for operation, diagnostics and security.
Advertising identifiers: on Android, we use the Ad ID to show ads (see section 4).

2. How we use your data

Authenticate your access and maintain your account;
Sync your reading progress, notes and achievements to the cloud;
Provide and improve the app's features;
Process VIP subscriptions and remove ads for premium users;
Show relevant ads (free accounts);
Send notifications (e.g. verse of the day), when authorized.

3. Third-party services

To operate, Life Book uses providers that may process data on our behalf:

Supabase — authentication, database and cloud sync.
Google AdMob — ad delivery (banners, interstitials and rewarded ads).
App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Google) — purchase and subscription processing (IAP).
Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple — social authentication.

These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reading them.

4. Ads

Free accounts may see ads provided by Google AdMob. These ads may use identifiers for personalization. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings. Users with a VIP subscription get an ad-free experience.

5. Storage and security

Bible content is stored locally on the device (offline). Account and sync data is securely stored on Supabase infrastructure. We take reasonable technical measures to protect information, but no system is 100% secure.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time through the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or by email. Details on our account deletion page.

7. Children

Life Book is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you become aware of an improper registration, please contact us for removal.

8. Your rights

Under applicable law (including GDPR in the EU/EEA/UK and LGPD in Brazil), you may request access, correction, portability or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, write to the email below.

9. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by the update date at the top of this page.
